Moan of the day.

Well I hope you all survived the storm. Unfortunately my roof did not survive. Nothing too serious but how do I get it fixed. And I was having a good day til that happened. I managed to go to Manchester Library and was looking at the film for St. Thomas - a big disappointment. I was looking for possible children for Christopher the weaver but nothing. I went right up to 182o and there were no Steel or Steele entries. However his wife's name was Butterworth and did find the following

May 17th 1777
Robert son of Abraham Butterworth (Pendleton)

Jan 3rd 1781
Tom(?) son of Abraham Butterworth (Pendleton)

1783
John son of Abraham Butterworth Crofter and Jan his wife (Pendleton)

Am I clutching at straws here, perhaps this Abraham is a brother. Christopher and Betty married in 1777 and were of Pendleton.

I don't even know if this Christopher is related to our Christopher, but I suppose I am really interested because he lived so close to where I live. One thing I did notice going through this baptism film I did not see the name Christopher for anyone.

The other gripe of the day - yesterday I posted on here a picture. I cannot see it nor the post if anyone else can see it please let me know on the comment link.

Thanks.
